Based in Cairns, where the Great Barrier Reef begins.

River Nomad started in 2020, between two friends from riverside towns who left in their early twenties to see the world.

Somewhere along the way we learned to dive, and the love for the ocean became impossible to ignore. The more time we spent outdoors, the clearer it got: nature is where we feel most ourselves.

That's where the name comes from: the rivers we grew up beside, and the years we spent wandering. Everywhere we went, we collected small things that held the memory of a place, a person, a moment. To us, that's what jewellery is. Something you carry, that quietly tells the story of who you are and where you've been.

Eventually the water led us here, to Cairns, in Australia's tropical north, where the Great Barrier Reef begins and the rainforest meets the sea. It's the kind of place that gets into everything you make. You'll find it in our pieces: the colour of the reef, the calm of the mangroves, the light on the Coral Sea.

Everything we make is hand-finished in sterling silver and Hill Tribe silver, set with natural stones. Made to be lived in, worn in the water, on the everyday, not saved for special occasions.
